Hair Is Fabric Private Class

The fact that we as a hair industry are still only bringing a person of color into the trend or fashion conversation when “textured hair” is the topic of discussion, shows that there is still much to be done. True evolution happens when I, as a stylist, can lead with being a STYLIST and my race is never a credential that qualifies me.⁣⁣⁣

I’m forever grateful that I was exposed to looking at hair through an artistic lens early on in my career. I began my hair journey with a company that showed me, as a stylist, that hair and race are 2 totally different things... ⁣⁣

So, with that in mind, let us as a hair industry change the narrative, because at the end of the day, what’s race gotta do with it? ⁣⁣⁣
